It has laxative properties and provides relief from constipation.

It is used for the treatment of pre-eclampsia in pregnant women.

It is administered intravenously or intramuscularly to pregnant women in order to prevent premature labor.

It is also used to reduce convulsions during childbirth.

It can be dissolved in water and applied topically to arthritic joint. Patients suffering from osteoporosis have marked improvement in their painful condition after application of magnesium sulphate heptahydrate gel.

 

Packing: Externally consists of polypropylene woven bags, and internally of paper-plastic composite bags; Kraft paper bags lined with polyethylene plastic bags.
